The casters are factory-fitted with a small open metal ring that secures the caster pin in the base frame. Place the base frame on its back and press the caster in from above. Secure one arm of the base frame to the floor, place the caster at an angle to the drill hole in the caster mount, and press the caster pin firmly into the opening with circular movements until it is fully inserted.

Basically, follow the assembly instructions in reverse order and loosen the respective hand wheels or screws. Information on dismantling the plug connection between the center column, base cross, and seat plate can be found in the Toplift dismantling instructions under point 1.

Regular care maintains the quality of your products and ensures a long service life. Remove everyday dirt such as crumbs, dust, or sand regularly by gently vacuuming with an upholstery brush in the direction of the fibers.
Occasionally wipe the cover with a damp leather cloth, also in the direction of the fibers, to keep the fibers supple. Do not use microfiber cloths or steam cleaners.
Stains should be treated immediately. Dab liquids with an absorbent cloth or paper towel. Use distilled water only, clean from the outside in, and test cleaning agents on an inconspicuous area beforehand.
Avoid direct sunlight, strong artificial light, and heat sources, as these can dry out the leather and make it porous. Regular dusting or occasional wiping with a dry cloth is sufficient for care. Stains should be removed immediately and liquids dabbed off carefully – without rubbing. Grease stains on natural leather often disappear on their own as they are absorbed into the material.
Single-color and light-colored covers are particularly susceptible to stains and discoloration. Therefore, avoid contact with non-colorfast textiles such as jeans, pillows, or blankets. If discoloration occurs, clean the cover as soon as possible with suitable cleaning products. Residue on clothing can usually be removed by simply washing it.
Some backrests have a locking mechanism for height adjustment. Slowly pull the backrest upwards until the desired locking steps are reached (these are usually audible) and release it in the desired position.
If the backrest is moved down to the stop, the locking mechanism is released and the backrest returns to its starting position. Then press down on the backrest from above to secure the end stop and pull it back to the desired position.
The lever controls both the height adjustment and the rocking function. To activate the rocking function, pull the lever out to the side to release the lock. Pressing the lever again locks the rocker back in place – but only in an upright position. It is not possible to lock it in an inclined position.
The hand wheel is used to adjust the counterpressure of the backrest when the rocking or tilt function is activated. This spring force adjustment allows you to customize the resistance to your body weight and seating preferences. Turn the hand wheel to the right or left to increase or decrease the counterpressure.
You can find the matching feet in the Accessories subcategory under Office. If only the rubber lip is damaged, unfortunately it cannot be replaced individually, as it is pressed onto the metal foot by machine under high pressure. Manual replacement is therefore not possible.

Furniture in the "second choice" category may show slight signs of wear or cosmetic defects. However, it is fully functional. All products are carefully inspected before sale and offered at a reduced price.

Our chair casters are designed for carpeted floors as standard. For laminate, cork, or parquet floors, we recommend using hard floor casters and an additional floor protection mat.
In addition, our casters are safety-braked. This means that they only release and roll under load. When unloaded, the integrated locking device prevents the chair from rolling away unintentionally.
